# Aviva Share Help

Does anyone know what is the meaning of tree different options of Aviva share? Thank you.

Shares Available at Trading 212 platform:

AV

AV.A AVIVA 8 3/4% CUM IRRD PRF

AV.B AVIVA 8 3/8% CUM IRRD PRF

I am a bit confused about the second part ( AVIVA 8 3/8% CUM IRRD PRF) not sure what it does means.

I _think_ they’re preference shares. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge will chime in as I don’t know an awful lot about the subject.

As well as ordinary shares, Aviva has two different types of preference shares, 8 3⁄4% and 8 3⁄8%. The shares have a nominal value of £1. The fixed dividend is cumulative in nature, ie if the fixed dividend is not paid in one year, it accrues and is payable as a debt to the shareholder until the dividend is brought up to date. The shares cannot be redeemed without approval by shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting.

**In the last 1 year is Aviva down 27% or Up 3% such a big massive difference ??**

One chart is split adjusted the other isn’t
