No dividends payment today for LSE holding?
This absolutely hits the nail on the head.
The delay is acceptable if explainable but right now, 212 have provided absolutely zero communication. Unless prompted, they say nothing and even then, the responses are completely vague and non-commital.
Seriously considering moving to another broker once this is resolved.
When I raised this on a webchat earlier this week I was told by T212 that they were āwaiting for a decision on the finalisation of the acquisitionā
What decision I wonder?
Please give us a more comprehensive explanation for the delay and what is being done to resolve it.
Thanks
Same. Even though yesterday I was assured it would happen and today the response was āas soon as we have an update, weāll let you knowā ![]()
Along with others, I purchased Carnival UK shares purely for the additional onboard credit given when taking a cruise. I chose Trading 212 due to their reviews, etc. but Iāve been left very disappointed with the amount of time this has taken and the lack of information provided, especially as another poster has said other platforms have already completed this exercise.
Having been involved in IT project work most of my life, the one thing that annoys users (in this case Trading 212 investors) more than anything, is a complete lack of information. I donāt expect an hour-by-hour update, but one or two updates a week with some basic detail would be good. Just saying ā⦠the process depends on settlement and depository proceduresā¦ā doesnāt mean anything.
Everyone else receive the email update that still offers absolutely zero indication of timescales? And no mention of dividends that should have been paid last week?
The stocks have tumbled again today, predictable given the rising tensions over the weekend in the Middle East again. But could we make decisions for our stocks to minimise losses or even take advantage of it, no of course not. ![]()
Still no resolution or definitive information. Iām beginning to wonder if there isnāt an issue here that weāre not being made aware of.
I feel this is getting ridiculous now. Itās been over 4 weeks since the shares ceased trading on the FTSE and yet still we have no stocks on the US market. Canāt buy or sell, donāt know if we received the dividend and no information on a timeline. I find this whole thing extremely poor in terms of customer service.
Any form of update and an expected timeline for a resolution would be welcome. Surely everyone in the chain isnāt saying āweāve got no idea how long this will takeā?
Extremely frustrated and disappointed at how weāre being treated.
I have asked Gemini the following question:
āWhy carnival uk shares are taking so long for being converted to US stock exchange?ā
The answer:
"Carnival Corporation successfully completed the unification of its dual-listed company (DLC) structure on May 7, 2026, meaning the conversion of UK shares (Carnival plc) into US shares (Carnival Corporation) on the NYSE is already underway and taking place on a 1-to-1 basis. [1, 2, 3, 4]
If your conversion seems delayed, it is typically due to standard administrative processing times across international financial institutions. The delay is usually caused by:
- Brokerage Settlement Times: Your specific broker or bank requires time to process the corporate action, deregister the UK shares in the UK, and register the new US shares in your account.
- Depository Transfers: Moving shares from a UK-based depository (like CREST) to the US Depository Trust Company (DTC) requires manual reconciliation between clearinghouses.
- Account Type & Restrictions: Holding shares in a specific wrapper (like an ISA, SIPP, or non-standard brokerage account) can add extra compliance or transfer steps compared to standard trading accounts.
To resolve or speed up the delay, you can:
- Contact your brokerās corporate actions department to get an exact timeframe for when the newly converted US shares will settle in your specific portfolio.
- Review the Carnival Corporation Unify Scheme and the official shareholder documentation for detailed instructions on the settlement procedures. [1]
If you would like, let me know:
- Who is your broker or bank (e.g., Hargreaves Lansdown, Interactive Brokers, Revolut, etc.)?
- How long has it been since the May 7 unification date?
I can provide more targeted steps for contacting your broker or tracking the conversion."
It provides a decent overview how these process works and why might taking so long to be finished
Absolutely ridiculous delay and very little explanation for it. Iām beginning to think there is a problem here that weāre not being told aboutā¦
Meanwhile, weāre missing out on any trading opportunities.
Come on T212, sort this out for your customers!
