Investor Relations

Thought I would start a thread here based on a couple of thoughts:

  1. Does anyone communicate with Investor Relations on companies they invest in?
  2. What questions do you ask?
  3. Do you find you receive meaningful feedback?

  1. Yes.
  2. Finance, political risk and technical related questions.
  3. Mostly not.

Why?
Because they can dodge them easily (no public event). Because they tend to look down on ‘unsophisticated retail investors’. Because I lack relationships necessary. Because an answer could be material information and needs to be disclosed through RNS for instance.

Do I regardless like to do it?
Hell yeah. Questions phrased differently and being consistently being dodged can also give information. And on the rare occasion they do answer you can often read in between the lines. If investors are being ignored consistently (not just me but others too) it is a big red flag.

Yeah, i always ask them why they’re doing a reverse split. :upside_down_face:

Yes, occasionally.

Normally ask for more transparency on costs.

Never had a reply.

Most of the time they don’t even reply so honestly I mostly stopped trying. Is sometimes useful for accounting and tax related questions (i.e. will x be able to be used to offset US certain taxes)
