Thanks for the suggestions. I think an interesting other category to consider is ESG and SRI. The iShares MSCI world SRI ETF (SUWS) has been doing much better than either of the above world funds. It excludes, oil, tobacco, weapons manufacture, which are present in these other world funds HMWO and ACWI.

I would agree that HMWO is a must have, probably the best distributing world index tracker available.
