Same pies are effectively wothless with the new update (downgrade)
Morning all
Just opened T212 to find all pies merged with investments⦠Whats with the āAsset Allocationsā tiles? Looks like they are trying to recreate their own heat map⦠Massive fail, looks like clunky old windows tiles .
Have been using T212 for over a year and very happy so far but this app update is very disappointing.
Im going to be exporting all my pies and looking for another broker app that has a cleaner simpler interface that Trading212 previous had.
I really dislike the new visuals for the investment tab, youāve made it to only show pies and single invested stocks, but you donāt show stocks within pies like you used to, which means I canāt see how many shares I have at a glance, I need to individually check all 40 plus stocks that make up my pies, which makes updating stock events take ages, please allow us to see the stocks in our pies as we could before.
At a glance is the best, nothing beats it.
Have you had the same issues with importing into Stock Events as me then?
I have tried so many times to import using the CSV file from Trading 212 but it just ends up adding random stocks to my stock events portfolio and then I have to go through them all and delete the phantom new ones.
Hi folks, I can not believe they have changed the layout. If it is not changeable soon, I will say bye bye. My pie is not first port of call to check on individual investments. Thought you was supposed to be clever.
Iāve now been playing around with the new layout on a daily basis and to be honest it definitely is not as good as the previous version. Is it not possible for users to be given a trial BETA to play around with before commiting to future changes?
I know programmers like to fiddle but once you have really good functionality itās so easy to get things wrong.
Hello.
I have two topics to address to Trading212 team:
- I appreciate the new feature regarding to the money-weighted rate of return.
However I think the examples you provide in Q&A (Help/Announcements/ Change to pies) are incorrect. I compute MWRR the same way I compute IRR (discounting cashflows by the respective period time and equalizing NPV to zero). Computing this way Example 1 MWRR would be 8,03% and Example 2 MWRR would be 125%. If you donāt compute MWRR this way please tell me how do you do it.
I believe MWRR is the proper way to evaluate portfolio performance, but you should provide it as a view option as it might not fit or be understandable to beginners.
- I have two ETF pies in my portfolio that are formed by the same ETFs with the same weights. As one of the pies belongs to my children and the other one belongs to my brother, I need that each pie return reflects accurately the underlying invested amount and return.
Before the last update each pie had significant different return rates (more than 10 percentage points difference) reflecting different volumes invested in different times with different cost prices. The return rates were transparent and clear ([Pie value ā Invested amount]/Invested amount).
Since the last update both pies share the same average cost prices (which would be almost impossible to happen due to what I explained before) and present very similar return rates (when the difference before was quite significant).
As the return rates changed dramatically since the last update it is very hard for me to rely on the figures and stats that you are providing. I really need you to investigate this further and explain to me what happened so I can feel your data is trustworthy and reliable.
Best regards
@T212 thank you for reverting the main page to something that resembles the original layout. Pies and manual invests separate and can be arranged as desired.
Nice unexpected Xmas present.
Iām not a fan of the view either, I preferred the old view to be able to see individual stocks (and totals not just bought within a pie) in separate tabs
