# No longs for SPX?

Currently getting “maximum trading quantity for long positions with this instrument is 5” - is this normal for a major index? Sells don’t seem to be limited in the same way?

The maximum quantities for each CFD instrument are different. They are based on our current market risk evaluation and are aiming to keep the company in tune with the regulations concerning maximum exposure and capital adequacy.

Currently, the maximum quantity for long positions with this instrument is namely 5 units.

How long does this have to go on for?
