The search function is now a tiny box in the centre of the screen and doesn’t make use of all the space a desktop offers. Please stop developing one option for mobile and then making the desktop version a little worse to use every time.
For once, I agree. It has just messed up my routine stock searching ability. Sorry to say @t212 team but this was really a bad design decision.
Agree in part - Want to see the recent search history on the right as before as makes use of the space using the whole page rather than a tiny box where you have to try and scroll around for more details.
Yes you can expand the page which goes into the more technical chart view (which is useful and I like that) but would be good to see the default whole page view as before (or have an option to expand the window in standard view).
I use the desktop and I actually like the change; less clutter on the screen and you can still get a partial view of what is going on behind on the chart.
Only if T212 understood the value of a movable dialog box, there have been several requests for this since the past two years but T212 just does not realise why it is necessary for someone to move the dialog boxes away from the centre of the screen!
came up with this request just immediately after replying above, bang on target @hal !

Thanks for mentioning my post @IntInv, I agree with this, being able to drag the dialogs would be very handy.
It looks like the desktop version no longer shows the total values for Cash, Investments, and Pending, which are still visible in the mobile app. This feels like a step backwards and makes it harder to get a quick overview at a glance.
Also, on desktop you can’t click Pending assets to open the instrument and view the chart or details. Clicking only opens the order itself, meaning you then have to manually search for the asset again.
Both of these changes add unnecessary friction and make the desktop experience noticeably worse than the mobile app. Hopefully these features can be restored or improved.
Agree with Bill, all the points he made has reduced the user experience & removed a data point (cash held in pending orders) for no discernible reason.
My only guess for the wholesale UI worsening over the last 12 months is perhaps down to some sort of OPEX compute cost they incur. T212 is consistently removing data that was visible by default and forcing users to choose the load the data on demand, or simply removing data.
