Is there a limit for Probate on cash isa?

And why doesn’t T212 allow the transfer of ISA portfolios between spouses on death, as permitted by HMRC? Carefully built up portfolios have to be turned into cash.

Each financial institution sets its own limit on an amount below which a grant of probate isn’t required. This can vary greatly, and the current limit we have in place is £10,000
While this is permitted as per HMRC’s rules, we currently don’t offer such an option as we haven’t developed any processes that allow the transfer of shares from one Trading 212 account to another. Still, we fully understand your point of view, and we’ll consider making this a possibility as part of future improvements.
