Status tracker for instrument requests and support cases

First off, I really like Trading 212 and it’s still my preferred broker. Support is quick and friendly whenever I reach out. My issue is with what happens after a request is submitted.

Adding a new stock often takes months. By the time it’s available, the moment where it was an interesting buy has usually passed. Other brokers like DEGIRO have a much larger offering and seem to add stocks and exchanges a lot faster.

On top of that, there’s no way to see where a request stands. You don’t hear anything until a final decision is made. Right now I have one support chat with several requests in it, plus a few posts here on the forum, hoping one of them gets picked up. I’m also still waiting on a cash-in-lieu payment from a spin-off, which has been pending for months.

My idea: a request section in the app with a simple status bar per request. For example: Submitted → Under review → In progress → Added / Declined.

This would:

  • Keep separate requests organised instead of mixed together in one chat
  • Let you ask a follow-up question on a specific request
  • Show that a request is actually being looked at, even if it takes time
  • Save support from answering the same “any update?” messages

It doesn’t need to speed up the process itself. Just knowing where things stand would already make a big difference.

And while I’m at it: expanding the stock offering, especially on Gettex, would be fantastic.
