# Strong drop in the stock market

I definitely agree with this. For that reason, it is good to be selective and only do Dollar Cost Avareging for the high conviction stock which is near the bottom, based on one’s own DDs. Also, for the same reason I try to avoid penny stock with very small capital, a company in high tech, bio tech that very easy to set up do not need a lot of capital/barriers to set up. In many cases once they drop, they never recover.
The founder if the companies like this has very little to lose if the company go into administration.

If there is no special occasion or a black swan event, Historically November until April (omit February) in the following year shall be the best months for the stock Market. November is historically one of the best one which will be followed by Santa rally in December. But this year this pattern has been broken due to Omicron Variant, fear of high inflation also because of the FED announcement to reduce the asset purchasing that will end March next year and the statement increase the interest rate threee times next yeat. It comes almost at relatively at the same time;

Over the weekend with lots of news on Omicron, significant increase in the overall number of cases, lockdowns and further lockdowns/tightening condition anticipated across UK& EU…i would expect some significant movements in the market this morning to factor in increasing headwinds or has it been factored in already?
Time to grab a cup of coffee and hope for some action movie cos am bored of the market going side ways with no major movements

The market has been going down in recent months in terms of more stocks down than up, however index’s helped up by the likes of Apple and other large cap stocks. If they struggle it will be interesting as index’s could pull back 5-10% in a relatively short time. However depends as always partly on the stocks/sectors your in.
Example oil has declined and will wrongly be seen as a long term move but it’s a pullback during covid uncertainty and reserve releases, lack of capex by big oil will mean next couple years will likely be $70-90 for a while.
Whereas Hugh multiple tech has had all the tailwinds over covid and if some still can’t make a success of it we will have a series of companies in US tech particularly fading massively as they have recently, some permanently.
As you correctly say, could have some interesting times, I am keen to still add to long term positions that I feel undervalued.

It certainly looks that way judging by the open of non-US markets. Out of the 50 or so stocks on my watchlist, only MRNA’s green pre-market. Time to buy myself some early Christmas presents!

Very personal point of view, yes I do.
Crypto are bearish since FOMC annoncement, most probably US stock will follow the same way (at least US Tech stock). We will see at the opening 🙂

**Is the market cooling down a little bit??**
Well, at least The Fear and Greed index and The VIX are saying so. They might come back again in about three weeks when the FED is giving and update and/or probably the big one in March when they announce the interest hike.
