Easier fix for you and everyone else would presumably be to just give the spending pot a reference number so it drops straight into it. Meaning less steps for everyone who wants to use spending.
Love the card spending pot. Please keep this feature and strengthen it. Ignore the haters.
Yeah I think it should be on another tab so banking is totally separate to investing.
Agreed, I also like it.
It can use some improvements like automatic transfers from one pot to another but the general direction is good.
That still doesn’t fix it, though. Interest payments still go to the main pot, so it’s a horrible mess. There’s still no way to use Trading 212 correctly thanks to this anti-feature.
In my opinion that’s a good thing. Interest can then be used for investing.
Only slightly envious, for some reason as a EU customer i have a 212UK account which means i cant have a card? and noone seems to be able to help me either…
Please make the spending pot completely separate from the investing pot. Especially when sending money from Bank to T212 and with currency excahnge within spending pot. I do not want to see my spending and related transaction on my investing history. Makes it hard to track investing transfers and investing related exchanges rates. Or at least cleary mark the spending pot transactions in the CSV statements.
Overall I like the spending pot but I need a way to deposit directly into it as I have standing orders for S&S ISA / Cash ISA and then I added a new one to account for spending but still require a manual step of moving from main pot to spending pot. I’d prefer to remove the need for this step as it just makes using the card more of a chore. Otherwise it would be perfect for me. Thanks
I totally think it’s should be a it’s own seperate option since i always found myself having declined purchases is because most of money i deposited was put in main instead of spending which i got 2nd-hand embarrassment.
I just realised another stupid thing about this feature: Interest in the spending pot goes to the main pot. But cashback on the spending pot goes to the spending pot!
This is an idiotic and gaslighting feature (or should I say bug?). Make it go away, please.
I suspect that you have cashback investing enabled.
Normally it goes into the spending pot. However, T212 have an offer at the moment where the amount is 1.5% provided that it goes to a pie for investing. You can disable that if you wish.
I’m just waiting for 212 to split the cash / bank process to another tab, and allow pots and the setup of standing orders / direct debits. Then it’s a fully useful banking thingy…
Would be nice if I could search my card transactions.
