# Transfer portfolio from Invest to ISA

I’d like to open a 24-25 Isa account next week and transfer the stocks and cash from my current Invest account to it.
A couple of questions:
1. Do I need to sell all the stocks, transfer the cash, and then repurchase them in the ISA, or is there an automated way to do it?
2. If I have to sell them all, can I transfer various currencies between the accounts, or do I need to to transfer GBP only, incurring double fx fees on every overseas stock?

Transferring shares between accounts is not supported.

HMRC rules don’t allow you to hold foreign currency in an ISA.
