Hi to the community Question: why does the volume on the 1 min chart is so significantly lower than the day chart? I mean I cross checked it with Tradingview and on the same timings itā€™s totally different. The black is 212 and white is trading view. Welcome to the Community, @DeeM šŸŽ‰ Unlike traditional volume, which counts the total number of shares or contracts traded, we display ā€˜tick volumeā€™. This is why the numbers differ when you compare them with Trading Viewā€™s app. In short, tick volume refers to the number of ticks (price changes) that occur during each candle. The idea behind tick volume is that it similarly represents the market conditions of an instrument because more quotes are being made when more trades occur ā€” hence, larger volume. Still, our charts and the data we display serve only an indicative purpose. ---

It would be nice to have share volume, I dont use the T212 charts that much because of little issues like this and keep a TradingView window open instead. ---

Can we not get this reverted back? This might be the only broker I know who doesnā€™t use the correct volume? Why would I care how many times the price has changed within a candle? Could be a buy order for 5k shares at one price and the volume indicator would show 1??? Or I could have 100 diff price changes all for 1 lot each and the volume would show 100? Would rather the volume worked as expected like on every other broker I shouldnā€™t have to go on a competitors app to get an avg volume count, this affects indicators as theyā€™re not getting correct volume ---

Agreed! T212 could provide this under a different name. Maybe ā€œtick volumeā€ or something. But ā€œVolumeā€ should be the standard volume as on all platforms. We need to trust the indicators so we can trade based on them. Otherwise, I start to wonder what else might also be different! ---

I agree with the points you brought up. Adding true volume is a big project with a lot of moving parts across different markets, so it hasnā€™t been our top priority just yet. Iā€™ll raise this with the team to see if we can get it on the dev roadmap. ---

Old thread, but nevertheless: I accept that, for various practical, commercial, execution and maybe policy reasons, T212ā€™s charts donā€™t work as most traders would expect. But it would be nice if, instead, it were possible to connect TradingView to T212 so those of us who prefer conventional charting (and especially those willing to pay for live data feeds) can use that, instead. ---
