Same basic question : I canât see where I can enabled / disable this featureâŚ
WakeMeUp - The Instrument lending details can be accessed via the âDetailsâ button in the Lending info section.
Bibi - If the feature is off, you can tap the opt-in button. If you have already enabled it, you will see a âDisable lendingâ button in the âOverviewâ tab.
Sorry your explanation makes no sense to me whatsoever. What âdetailsâ button. What platform are you talking about web or mobile? Is it only invest or invest + isa accounts? What âOverviewâ tab? What âopt-inâ button where?
Sorry about that, letâs try again.
ISA shares are not lent out - I was referring to the Invest accounts on mobile. If the feature has been rolled out on your account, you will see a âEarn interestâ tab in the âMore menuâ. See screenshot:

The Instrument lending details section I was referring to in my previous post can be accessed through the âMore detailsâ button seen below:

And hereâs a screenshot of the âDisable lendingâ button in the âOverviewâ tab.

OK that makes more sense now. Thank you
I try to avoid using the mobile app. Also having quickly looked it doesnât appear on my mobile so I guess it hasnât been rolled out to me yet. At least I now know what to look out for
I canât figure out which menu you are referring to.
Is it on the App ? In which section / menu ?
I suspect the feature is not live on your account. Otherwise, when using the mobile app, you should see the âearn interest on sharesâ dashboard when you tap on the âmore menuâ (the 3 horizontal lines in the bottom right). See the first screenshot I shared above.
I only âEarn interest on cashâ.
But no âEarn interest on sharesâ, yet
Is the share lending visible on the web version, cant find it?
As @KrisG mentioned above, the feature is not available to your account yet. Once it is, itâd be found in the âmore menuâ.
If the feature is live on your account, it should be visible in the Menu section at the top right corner. Otherwise, the feature is yet to come to your account ![]()
Does the interest roll over if it doesnât make it to 1p. Like earn interest on Cash?
Or if you donât qualify for the minimum payment, is that interest âlostâ?
It will either be rounded to the nearest decimal or paid out as it is. In any case, no payment will be âlostâ, as youâve put it.
Nice update. Hope to see it on my account soon and check it out for myself.
How are you finding it? is it worth trying? do you feel secure doing it?
@Michael.M ; @KrisG , could T212 create a page with all the stocks that are lent and their APY, besides the existing Top 10 âMost borrowedâ? ![]()
How are you finding it?
Great
is it worth trying?
Yes but you donât get much choice except to say you agree. They lend out whatever they like and might not lend out anything of yours.
do you feel secure doing it?
Extremely. I wish they would lend out all my shares instead of just a few right now.
They are all up for lending, but not every share is being borrowed.
Thatâs an interesting suggestion
Iâll share it with the team to see what we can do.
In the app under share lending overview it says âlent sharesâ not âborrowed sharesâ
I suppose itâs just a terminology thing. Under âlent sharesâ it lists the borrowed shares as to be lent shares they must be borrowed.
Iâve lent roughly ÂŁ100 a day and earned 1p over the past 6 days. Iâm not concerned about it. Itâs a great feature that will get better the more I use it but is that correct!?
