Would it be possible to add a Fobi?
Thanks
@Veshy @solfer - both of these OTC stocks have next to no volume, which means T212 won’t add I’m afraid.
Hey.
@Mr.Trade, Hansard Global (HSD) has been added to the platform. As for RDI REIT, the company was acquired by Starwood Capital Group LLS earlier this year, and it is no longer tradeable.
@Shorty68DE, Eutelsat (ETCMY) is now available. Regarding Equinor (EQNR), we offer it on the NYSE. Currently, we cannot provide access and trading with the instrument on other exchanges. Of course, if anything changes, we’ll let you know.
@dinclaw, BlackRock Science & Technology Trust (BTS) is an American trust thus we’re unable to add it on the platform.
@Stock_master64, RIT Capital Partners (RCP), AVI Global Trust (AGT) and Mid Wynd International Investment Trust (MWY) are now available for trading. Enjoy.
Thank you all for sharing your suggestions. We’ll continue to closely monitor the thread and add the requests, if possible.
That’s disappointing, what volume would T212 be looking for in order to consider adding pls?
I’m sure it was upwards of 250k, but I could be wrong, could be higher.
for BST, how come it is added on IB then?
Hello @Bogi.H! We talked about $ETL, not about $ETCMY!
$ETL is now available, but not fractional!!
You can see a lot more on IB but not necessarily have the right to trade them.
I think the rules for Europeans regarding US domiciled funds is that Lybeyre generally off limits. There are exceptions however, i.e professional traders have free reign.
IB also let’s you take a knowledge based test to unlock certain classes of instruments so it might be possible that way. My guess is those kinds of setups aren’t trivial to put in place and so it’s easier to just not offer access to anyone.
Hi Bogi,
I see you do add the requested stocks to the platform, but not the ETFs.
Is it generally more difficult to add ETFs, i.e. are there technical/legal/other difficulties?
Little titbit of info here:
Because IB can sell to US investors. The Trust you have asked for does not meet UK/EU regulations so can’t be sold to retail investors.
It’s not true. I can buy it without any issues on IB.
The closest reason I can think of is the one that @random53 mentioned above.
I think T212 don’t want to take on the hassle of implementing the required checks on the platform to be able to offer this kind of options, which I can understand at some point, but it’s still annoying.
Anyway, I guess I’ll continue to buy it there.
P.S. I don’t have a professional trader account on IB.
I can also buy Ark ETFs on another platform because they’ve not implemented their checks properly so
XDN0 - Xtrackers MSCI Nordic
Any way of confirming for definite? I’m holding a decent chunk of these on Hargreaves Lansdown that’d I’d move here as soon as I could…
Just through experience of requesting penny stocks here over the last couple years.
I’ll add it to today’s IPO post but my guess is it’s a no go.
Understood, OK cheers Joey
@Veshy @solfer, see below - gave it a try. “Not going to add it” is a bit vague but having seen this loads of times over the past 24 months, it’s most likely the volume issue.
Thanks for trying Joe, yeah I did see it yesterday. I noticed later that the one I’m holding on HL is on the Toronto exchange, with higher volume. But I see T212 don’t include Canadian tickers anyway.
Thanks again.
