Temporary BUY Restrictions on Illiquid OTC Penny Stocks

Where did all the volume came from? Who had the impact first on these stocks?

Yeah there are gamblers, but i dont want that when i invest, trade and swing. Its foolish to just say ā€˜i believe this stock’ baseless belief. There are hundreds of things to look for as a potential stock… as we know OTC is a pile of rocks.

Whata benefit T212 has? How do we know? Its all speculation atm.

Dont believe me…watch them doing it. thats not nonsense at all cause they did it in the past recently with CLIS, that was a well performing stock so…

T212 don’t have any financial gain from removing the buy button. It makes no difference to them.

T212 do have a reason to monitor them so they don’t get in trouble. They could have monitored rather than take the buy button away. But it makes sense from a business pov just to remove which is a lot easier and zero risk.

The GAXY CFO was actually wrong about the company’s financials which to me is worrying. They were never PSE and still aren’t based on their financial records.

I believe T212 simply cocked up in adding the non PSE. There was no deliberate motive to add them with a plan to remove them a month later.

Unfortunately it’s their platform, they can pull anything at any time. They could keep those non-PSE stocks but it requires more regulatory scrutiny.

T212 also makes up a negligible amount of traders for these stocks so it’s not manipulation, nor does it affect liquidity as you still have buyers in the rest of the world outside of T212.

From a customers pov it’s very much a don’t like it use another broker unfortunately.

What a way to welcome 1.1 million new users :clap:t2: ā€œthey can pull anything at any timeā€

To be fair the same is true with any broker, they aren’t legally forced to have certain stocks, or once they add them to forever support them.

All the messing about over the last couple of months will have lost some customers but probably most will be oblivious or have sucked it up.

We also only have a few thousand forum users tops and out of those a few hundred active.

Most of the million plus will be unaware of what is being discussed here.

You clearly dont know what youre talking aboutā€¦ā€œit doesnt affect liquidity as you syill have buyers in the rest of the world outside T212ā€ it makes a huge impact for T212 to add or remove a stock that is ā€œhypedā€ or has potential a great example is CBBT…the day it was restticted it bleed same with GAXY. so please check your facts. ā€œthey can pull anything at anytineā€ if thats their justification we have a problem, cause their going to lose alot of users thinking that way. i know it wont make any diference but im moving from this broker, it might be comision free but it comes with alot of bullshit that can make you lose alot of money. and thats not the goal here

T212 (or any broker) can add and remove any stock this wish at any time.

T212 (or any broker) can remove the buy button to prevent any possible manipulation at any time.

T212 also have to restrict access if their intermediary (IB) restricts access

There is zero connection between the price falling and T212s changes. The stocks were well into the dumping phase days before T212 announced it was preventing buying. The impact is negligible.

GAXY and CBBT were both well into dumping the previous week before the changes. The dumping was because they are pump and dump. Not a result of T212 marked in purple.

All they were doing is pulling back to the 200 EMA after being over bought and pumped. You can see the 10th Feb the game was over.

IMO some of the rules and restrictions are exclusive for T212 cause I have a IB account and you can trade the stocks restricted here but whatever, as for the dumping, of GAXY and CBBT…i experienced it,ive seen it, and had people telling why they sold!! and thats that if you cant avg down cause you cant buy and it keeps going down you dont have any other option but to sell cause 1 you dont know why it got restticted since T212 didnt make any oficial PR regarding restrictions and 2 you dont want to keep loosing money, charts are a beautiful thing to look at and helps alot but in the OTC thats not always the rule and you know that…being it so volatile any news , event , restriction etc affects SP drastically…and i can asure you CBBT isnt a pump and dump, same with GAXY…now of couse if they lift restrictions prices are going to fluctuate even more, cuause people wants to get their money back and get out…in other words theres more than chart to look at here.

PS: all of this are my opinions, but one thing is for sure T212 lost alot of credibility and trust cause of all of this + more…

It bothers me that people who dont trade OTC, tries to justify what T212 is doing its really embarrassing, letme state another fact and see your argument.
CLIS had news that they released some news regarding thieir app, and upon news people got in cause of the oportunity and because its a huge thing…next thing you know T212 restricted trading of that stock. like WTF? so solely based of unusual volume you going to suspend a stock? idk sp got driven by news ,good or bad, but that doesnt make everything a pump and dump

I personally would have hoped they would monitor and not just take the easy route of removing. From a business side it makes perfect sense to eliminate any risk.

Most OTC aren’t P&D. But those are textbook pump and dumps. They were specifically targeted as micro cap low float, literally nothing about the business at all. It could have been producing bananas the pumpers don’t care.

It’s not just in your opinion. In the specific case of these OTC stocks it was T212 decision to prevent the buying. Nothing about IB at all. You are correct.

In cases such as GME/AMC those decisions were taken out of T212 hands, as if their intermediary says nope, they can’t do anything about that.

It isn’t a case of not believing that restrictions have been placed on buying certain stocks but you still haven’t answered why you think it has happened? Or more specifically what benefit you think that t212 from restricting purchases?

dude…havent you read the example of CLIS?.

your example of CLIS lacks any real detail about what happened.

if this is just going to be a back and forth, please take the discussion to DMs.

Just to put it in perspective avg daily vol over 3m is 5m

CLIS
11 Feb 4m
12 Feb 15m
16 Feb 50m
17 Feb 30m
18 Feb 18m
End of the pump

If you read Reddit and are part of discord groups you would have seen the pumping.

Here’s the previous pump back in 2020. 0.08 being the avg

Wow im shocked by your statments regarding these OTC. People that dont swing and invests in penny stocks like you and even try to find potential penny stocks have absolute no reason to talk facts, just opinions. GAXY for example went from 0.008$ to 0.035$ then felt back to 0.018-0.02$ for almost 2 weeks. What would you have said back then? The same as now? Pumpy dumpy? Do you actually know the difference between someone who daily trades, monthly swings and long invest? There were a big % of long term folks. Oh and fyi not everyone is viewing penny stocks as hypes. There are huge differences of graph outlooks haha lol… that EMA example is so trashy.

You said that ā€˜t212 had nothing to do with the ā€˜dump’. Oh yes it DID had a HUGE impact. If trading212 is the only broker around the globe that restricted these OTC’s… where do you think the biggest volume came from? The fact that they slayed the volume WITHOUT announcing and notify the customers is EVIL. Only by that there is a alarm signal that there is something fishy going on.

95% of OTC’s are trash. Yes but there are 5% left, where by doing your homework you could find some gold nuggets in that pile of rocks.

What do you mean its better for customers the way T212 acted? Are they the ones to tell me what can i buy and sell with my money? Arent they the broker? Or am i a controlled customer? Are you delusional or just making fun?

Haha ā€˜from a business side’ lmao no haha absolutley not! If you as a business added these stocks and you disobey the rules of requirements (penny stock exempt) and simply chill with it for 4 MONTHS! And only now since the volume increased you decide to all of a sudden restrict from buying and so on let your clients down. Do you know what this means? In a real life situation this will mean social securities interventions, penalties and loss of your customers. Why? Because you failed as a business.

Lack of details? The guy just told you… :man_facepalming:t3:

a few lines with a vague statement lacks details. it can’t be considered anything more than an opinion.

It looks like someone reported it. It’s not deleted, it’s just flagged for staff attention to either restore or ask to edit or delete.

Put it this way, would GAXY have followed this chart if it had never existed on T212.

The answer is 100% yes.

T212 have zero financial gain from adding the stock and removing the buy button.

What they do have is an interest to protect their business. Unfortunately for us that means removing the buy button so there’s no possibility they will be investigated for allowing people to use the platform as a way of manipulating the SP.
