No, it’s correct your average price should have gone up - the key here is in the following sentence - in the way that 212 is calculating it.

Because there’s no average price attached to Haleon when 212 spins it out, the full additional increase of the consolidation is reflected in your GSK shares. Your 5 shares have become 4.

So a hypothetical share consolidation where you have 5 shares of £20 each (£100 total) then become 4 shares, the average price would have to increase to £25 a share - because you paid £100 no matter whether you have four or five shares.

It’s trickier when you add a spin-out, because technically the value of that spin-out should have been deducted but wasn’t in this case as 212 calculates it differently,
