Courage In Investing

Hello you very wonderful and intelligent people that make up this forum. I truly hope you are doing well and having another wonderful week.

I have a checklist i go through when analysing stocks, such as ensuring the company is undervalued, good growth prospects, good quality management, a healthy balance sheet to name a few requirements.

I have difficulty making a decision if only a few of these requirements are met, i think also i am a bit of a perfectionist, so i try and stick to my checklists. However reviewing two stocks i had analysed back in 2024 The Hackett Group and Perdoceo Education Corp in July 2024 both have had strong gains since.

These stocks i felt were undervalued, had good quality management, but i was not confident with the growth aspects of these stocks. I please wondered how i can overcome this anxiety when a stock does not meet all these requirements i have, could i invest a lower percentage from my overall portfolio and try stop these perfectionism traits please? If anyone kindly had any thoughts on this i would be forever grateful and thankful it would mean the world to me.

Thank you very much for reading my post and for any support you can give. Sending you lots of good wishes and i truly hope you achieve massive success with your investing and continue to have a wonderful and amazing life. With my every best wishes.

Am I right to assume youโ€™re pretty okay (or even better) at fundamental analysis?

If so, or even if youโ€™re not, learn TA (in my opinion).

TA tells you when to best enter for the safest plays (most probably to go in your favor).

It teaches you where on the chart price could stall or reject from.

Itโ€™ll tell you how much to size your trades.

TAโ€™s really good.

I think knowing TA and not knowing FA will make you money.
Knowing FA but not TA, will sometimes make you money.
Both is great, but TA is better.

Again, in my opinion.

Learn Technical Analysis.

How does anyone figure out if management is good or not? This is something ive never understood.

Anyway, the chart tells the story of what the entire markets participants think about said stock. In real time, without any emotion or bias. The price is the price.
You can see if the market is interested or not. You can see clear low risk entry levels to manage risk effectively and when to jump ship should things turn.

I never use any fundamental analysis and Iโ€™ve never had a problem and no desire to use it either. Its lagging, can be twisted and falsified.
The chart will often reach critical junctures, where the timing of good/bad FA or news should be announced, and this happens over and over again in my experience.
โ€œShow me the chart, and Iโ€™ll tell you the news!โ€.

TA, well studied and with experience, is a mandatory requirement for anyone playing in these markets. I wouldnโ€™t invest/trade without it.
Give it a try.
