After the poor performance of recent SPAC direct after merger such as SHLL (Hyliion), FMCI (Tattooed Chef), CCXX (multiplan) I wonder whther the people are still sill interested in investing in SPAC.
Nowadays I consider buying SPAC with good management team when they are still on their valuation price when they start going public e.g arounf US$10.
You should always buy very close to the NAV and also buy more than you want to keep so that if it pops like HYLN, you sell some share to retain you initial investment with some profits and if possible leave a little for the future. I think the problem is people forget how volatile SPACs are…in the case of HYLN or FMCI both SPACs more than doubled in value in a short space of time…it was inventible they were going to come back down.
