Request: More India-focused ETFs for long-term investors

Hi everyone, I’m Myroslav Mokhammad Abdeljawwad, and I’ve been looking for ways to add more India exposure to my portfolio through Trading 212.

At the moment, there are only a handful of India-related ETFs available — and most track the same large-cap benchmarks. It would be great to see a wider range of options, especially those that focus on mid-caps, sectoral themes, or INR-hedged versions.

India’s growth story looks strong for the next decade — demographics, digitalisation, and manufacturing tailwinds all point toward solid fundamentals.

There are 10 available covering India, according to JustETF, and only six of them are big enough to really invest in. I think there are a few bond ETFs too.

You’re better off requesting specific instruments given the range is so limited.

There are a few investment trusts too. AIE was my pick of the bunch but I haven’t looked at it in any depth for a few years.
