Could you add HSBC MULTI FACTOR WORLDWIDE EQUITY UCITS ETF USD (Acc)?
ISIN IE0000378O66
TICKER HWWS
It’s domiciled in Ireland and it’s available with other brokers (e.g. interactive brokers and AJ Bell). I can see you already have the distributing HWWA on the system already. Thanks!
Are there plans in the future to give access to everything that’s traded on stock exchanges, e.g. XETRA, so that we don’t have to request things to be added to T212?
US-domiciled ETPs (ETFs/ETNs/ETCs) and mutual funds aren’t allowed due to EU/UK legislation. Mainly due to missing KID/KIID/Prospectus/and other documentation that follow the EU/UK legislation, including their translation to the various local European languages.
That’s why most US ETPs and mutual funds (mainly those with more AUM) have an European version, mostly following the UCITS.
(I put the 2 sentences in higher size and bold, to all audience to see, and try to avoid someone ask for US-listed ETPs in the next days, as happened so many times in the past.)
There are European crypto ETPs (including short), but only could be accessible to customers in T212 EU platform (Cyprus). [Note 1}
For T212 UK platform customers, retail investors can’t invest in crypto ETPs, due to UK regulator (FCA).
Maybe T212 could add them in EUR/USD:
CH0514065058 - 21Shares Short Bitcoin ETP
CH1210548884 - 21Shares Short Ethereum ETP
[Note 1]
Yes, Europe (mostly Switzerland and Germany) is a pioneer in financial innovation (since 2019), in physically-backed crypto ETPs in several single-assets and baskets (indexes), and including short crypto ETPs. The US only recently had crypto ETPs (but only for Bitcoin Long ETP)!
