Hi! If I am using the UK ISA account - do I still pay tax on American stocks? If so, how does that get deducted? Thanks.

Yes there is a US-levied withholding tax which is 15% with the W-8BEN form which is completed at account creation. The tax is deducted before it reaches your account so you don’t have to worry about having to pay anything.
