Woodside Energy Delisted from LSEG

Does anyone know what’s happening with the Woodside Energy shares that have been frozen by Trading 212 after the delist from the LSEG? The app still advises that it is awaiting an update, but where from? I have been in contact with the LSEG and Computershare ( who I understand might be their registrars) and it seems that any unsold shares should have been transformed the Australian stock market on a 1:1 replacement basis. This should have happened on 29th November 2024. We are almost at the end of January 2025, some 2 months later.

Have you checked if trading212 support the segment of the ASX the new shares are on (if not your shares should be sold and cash returned by now).

It should have all happened by now - you should message 212 in app, asking what action they have taken.

I would have expected 212 give you ASX shares if supported, return the cash value, or offer to convert ASX to the US ADR listing.

There is also a corporate actions thread on this forum, have you checked that?

Welcome to the Community, @CYates

I checked this further with the team and can confirm that the LSE listing of Woodside Energy has been cancelled, as the trading has moved to the Australian Securities Exchange Ltd (ASX). Since we do not have access to ASX, we’re currently in the process of liquidating all positions. Once done, we’ll distribute the proceeds to all shareholders and send a notification. We appreciate your patience

Dear Momchil,

Thank you for your response. Regrettably it does not explain why we have had to wait over 2 months for this to happen and what the timescale is going forward. This information could have been made available as soon as you had embarked on this action, to allay fears as to to what was happening. Transparency is always the best policy.
Can you please advise how long you anticipate these actions will take.

Kind regards

We’re waiting for updates from our intermediary about the event. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any ETA for now as this is purely external. As soon as there’s any news, we’ll let you know.
