AI Portfolio Analysis - Wildly Innacurate

It’s not something that I would use as serious analysis but having had a Quick Look at the AI Analysis on my Investing account portfolio I was quite alarmed at how inaccurate it is (I checked against a full replication MorningStar portfolio X-ray in my AJBell account.

For example it stated in several places that the portfolio has a PE Ratio of 49 (In reality it is 12) and that it is heavily overweight in growth stocks (I barely own any growth stocks, the real number is 15%).

I’m not sure if it is because it can’t determine the underlying holdings in Investment Trusts etc. but it obviously highlights limitations in the AI at the moment, so I’d be concerned for anyone using it as an actual portfolio analysis tool to make investing decisions.

I agree, same as anything on ChatGPT, take it with a pinch of salt.

I would switch it off / hide it in the 212 app if I could.

@Shfle, the AI Portfolio Analysis aims to provide accurate insights. Still, it may not fully capture the underlying holdings in some cases, leading to discrepancies in metrics like the PE ratio or growth allocation. I’ll drop you a DM shortly to check the exact situation with your portfolio.
