All Things ARK + Requests

what do you mean??? will be available in T212?

Read up on why ARK etfs haven’t been added yet and then you’ll get it. They’ve been discussed to death here.

It seems that the ETF ARKK will be the first ETF with an UCITS version (european investment fund/ETF compliant).

UCITS: Available in Europe and Singapore, and via Managed Funds in Australia and New Zealand in partnership with Nikko Asset Management View Details

https://ark-invest.com/ucits/

It will be:

The Nikko AM ARK Disruptive Innovation Strategy is advised by ARK’s Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager Catherine Wood, who has over 40 years of industry experience.

Unfortunately only available as a mutual fund and seems like it can only be bought directly from the fund manager (Nikko AM) at NAV, so no intraday pricing as you’d get with $ARKK itself.

Also, it has apparently been available since 2018…

yes…i hold them at CapTrader, which is a IB clone !

I can trade them with CapTrader, which is a german IB clone.

No single UK/EU trading platform will be able to trade ARK Invest ETF. So it is not just Trading212, you will not be able to find it on other UK/EU base platftoms as well.

The reason is simple ARK Invest has not provided "The Key Investor Information Document ( KIID) for their ETF whihc mandatory in the UK/EU.

It is a very simple ,single page documents. So the best way is to persuade ARK invest to issue such document.

I’ve just tweeted her so I fully anticipate nothing changing :joy:. Let’s bombard Cathie Woods.

A good way of getting attention. Keep bombarding them in their twitter account with that request until they fed up

That’s simply not true ! CapTrader aswell as Lynx and IB allow you to trade ARK ETF’s.
I believe the reason is, that from a certain size portfolio you are registered as a professional investor…andf that KIID only applies to retail investors…but this is just a guess.

All i can say, that i can trade all ARK ETF’s with CapTrader and my Portfolio there is 50k+.

Cheers

You might find this useful. All the ark portfolios in one place https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vSZBHMMDxHZ-xklGibcfaNLIlJIfqiXd7SZG5r0O0yA/edit
Also done a bit of weight adjusts based on x% of each eft and y number of holdings. I’ve added an exception list to stocks that aren’t on trading212 isa.
This uses importdata function within google sheets. So it’s almost real-time.
I’ve used this for the top 10 of ARKK

I have an updated version of my spreadsheet which no longer needs updating: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kIwKfe72KnG4rpQaD_Dh_TsSCMdLvWGCmTRJsXkkUlY

This is great David, I’ve been looking to add this to mine too - sometimes it’s hard to update 5 pies!

Thanks. I’ve created a pie from the top 10 holdings from ARKK. Having a pie with a bit of each was a OK but my account isn’t bit enought to make a difference. I’m keeping an eye on other positions in the ARK portfolios like NNDM as it looks good long term I think.

This is great. I like the availability tabs. Perhaps I need to re-instate the full ARK pies as you’ve done the leg work. I am looking forward to this subscription feature they’re suggesting as i’m finding myself having to update mine and my wifes pies.

@treeba, I’d probably round to the nearest 1 dp as trading212 doesn’t like 2dp. Also you’ll need a minimum of 0.5% . Some of the weights are < 0.5%

Great spot - I’d rounded to 1 DP in the other sheets but not on the main pie ones - fixed! I have a strange relationship with the <0.5% ones, personally I’ve been adding them and reducing small amounts from the smallest % stocks to gain exposure (usually 0.1% from a few of them).

@treeba I prefer your version. I’ve taken a copy and amended the ARKK raw tab to force a max to over come the <0.5% Cell D2 =IF(C2 = ā€œā€, ā€œā€, MAX(VALUE(C2),0.5)) and down
Looks like KE HOLDINGS INC BEKE is now avaliable in INVEST. Haven’t checked ISA yet

Great work @DavidJ and @treeba question I have is what happens when ARK rebalances their portfolio. How would you guys address that with T212 pies ?

You can always change a pie but I would suggest maybe once a month max (12 a year) checking if anything has been added/removed or weighting changed and adjust.

You might just tweak quarterly, or 6mths tbh. Depends how close to the real you want it.
