Annual Dividend Report

would like to have an answer from T212 about this.

is something planned and do you have a timeframe? or is this out of your to do list for 2020?

there has been a lot around being able to export data hoping the T212 Team start to see this a priority over certain other elements as heat is rising on topics like this

@David @George and all others I cannot remember from the top of my head, can you give us an input on how this is going?

we need an official statement for our taxes from you. what are your plans and roadmap?

I don’t want to sound rude, but the reports are essential. If I cannot provide a plausible activity / dividend statement to my tax authority, it is me who they will blame for choosing a service that does not provide it.

Is there any update on this request? Is this feature being developed and if so, is there any date we can expect it to be released?

I second this.
It’s a much needed feature. Any shareable ETA?

how can this matter continues to be ignored for so long? We are almost in November.

I would also like to know the status of this development as the TAX report time is coming in few months .

I think that we could also try to contact the team via the chat on this. Might get a faster answer than on the forum here.

I have decided to simply tax all my dividend income received through T212 once again no matter whether the tax was deducted at source or not. Better to pay it twice than to risk problems later.

Yes this functionality should be in the platform from the day one when starting the business.

I hope we can get this feature by the end of the year.
We are in November and this feature is crucial to any broker. There’s no doubt Trading 212 has a lot of good features compared to other brokers in the market but then they lack in simple features that would solve problems for ALL users.

Still waiting for a response, but I’m starting to think we won’t be earing any response for a long time if we get one at all.

just decided to talk with the support team via chat, I think we are not totally left behind in this so much needed request. here, I will give you this excerpt from the conversation so everyone can relax a bit (i will hide my name and the customer support name for obvious reasons):

" |(10:47:40)|T212.: Trading 212 does provide each customer with a tax certificate, by the end of the fiscal year. It is generated automatically, and will be forwarded towards your email, as soon as the time is due.|
| — | — |
|(10:48:20)|me: really? this has been requested so many times that everyone thinks this feature is still to be developed|
|(10:48:57)|me: one of the team should reply to the topic, as some people are getting upset by now|
|(10:49:20)|T212.: It is available, we issue monthly statements as well as Tax certificates. However, take into consideration that unlike the monthly statements, the tax certificate could not be issued at any point throughout the year. It will be issued as soon as the fiscal year is over.|
|(10:49:38)|me: yes, I understand|
|(10:50:15)|me: one question. will this certificate discriminate the ammount of tax payed in the source as well as percentage?|
|(10:50:25)|me: I would like to know a bit more if possible|
|(10:51:04)|T212.: The tax certificate will display your account’s Profit/Loss, Fees&Charges, and a dividend overview.|

Important part is here, regards

This is great news!.
It probably deserves an announcement from the team, I think this will be very well received..
Lets hope that it includes all the required information (dividends, tax paid/withheld and profit/loss)

@Team212, can you please confirm that you will provide an annual statement at the end of the tax year?
And can you clarify what details it will include?

Funnily enough, when I raised my concern about these data missing in the monthly statements, the person from T212 support I have been recently in touch with did not mention any tax certificate whatsoever (and in fact, he/she does not seem to be very helpful regarding my other concerns related to the statements either). :frowning:

I can imagine they’ll be sent when the UK fiscal year ends… Which still makes it quite unhelpful for investors from other countries (which don’t follow the British fiscal year, 6th to 5th of April).

(If anyone from T212 can confirm I’m wrong, that would be a relief )

Yeap. It is unbelievable that a stock broker does not have this. It is such a basic feature. One would think it is one of the first things to do.

Maybe this is it

Do we know if that Export data feature will include the paid tax detail in origin?
I can see @George screenshoot quite promising! but not sure which details implicit in the dividends exported will be shown.
Any idea? I’ve checked the other post as well and can’t see a hint.
Thanks!
