Good luck funding that
With it being Black Friday. The US market is closed. How am I supposed to manage my shares before 15:30 today with the market closed? And how will Trading212 close my positions also with the market being closed?
I believe it’s just shares this affects in the CFD’s side.
(I don’t know for sure though, but I think I saw earlier that commodities and currencies were not having this limit put upon). Check if you can though, I will try find it now myself.
You’ll have one hour. The pre-market is closed today but the shares will open again today at 14:30 gmt. The T212 change will be at 15:30 gmt. T212’s servers gonna be smokin.
I was under the impression they were closed today also.
@chloe.nicole You should have received a notification with the calendar and open hours
Hey mate thanks for your help, appreciate it. I have doubled my money. But positions are all open. So worst case when your deadline hits I will lose my positions and be locked into my current profit (even if markets are closed which US are)?
Cheers
You need to add about $70,000 to keep afloat.
If your margin requirements are not met, ie: you haven’t the money to cover the margin 1:2 requirement, then your positions will close at that time. Profits will be whatever it is at the time of selling, just as if you were to do it yourself.
Hey there, appreciate the clarifications.
If I am i am in profit - worst case my positions close and that profit is locked in correct?
Cheers
Ali
Sorry to bother you but if I could get some clarification please. Since all positions I have opened are 1:5 already, why do we need more funds to cover for going 1:2?
Check your blocked funds, half it then x5 that’s how much money you now need to maintain those positions
Ali
You should be ok, but I would close any positive positions just to account for any spread craze later on.
I’m not certain and I can’t make any contact with T212 team, understandably they must be off their feet!
with 76% margin you should be ok.
Can’t close my positions as American markets closed for thanks giving?
You will have one hour to do so at opening today.
It’s so stupid we have 1 hour
I use CFD for long term trading and it works great providing you know what you are doing. Can’t see why you shouldn’t use it this way.
Thank you so very much for responding! Are you very sure about this though? they e given some complicated calculation but it’s only logical, to me at least, that going to 1:2 from 1:5, it should not be affecting us in a negative way
