IAG Rights Issue

You pay them though.

Modern doesn’t mean better. 212 has made a lot of ground and has a lot of features for what’s essentially free but they likely prioritise what they feel is needed with their plan for the platform.

If you wanted to use a platform that could cover all these other use cases then this is something you could have asked about in advance and instead paid for another platform for your ISA.

If you think the platform is truly free then I will leave you with that belief.

I did enquire how they would handle the right issue when it was announced however their support teams either didn’t know or promised emails with explanations that never arrived. Did anybody get told before yesterday.

I am not asking for some amazingly complicated use case. I just want to buy some shares as part of a right issue. It is explained pretty clearly in the ISA managers guidelines how to do it and I had to listen to some customer support person claiming it was a restriction of ISAs and not their platforms inadequacy. That other platforms are dodgy if they allow it…

Ultimately they should declare that they are not able to fully follow the government guidelines on how to manage an ISA. Publishing tables comparing fixed fees is misleading if they are not able to offer a full basic service the other providers they are comparing themselves against.

affordability could be a problem. Otherwise, people should take this up. Current price is at 130p and RI price is at 88. If you sell, that’s 42 per share. If you don’t subscribe and forfeit the rights, you get 21.09 per share. Take them up first and sell them away, you still get more money.

Very nicely said :ok_hand:

Hi,

I have 151 shares of IAG stock sitting in an invest account that I noticed has been rather heavily hit this morning, due to the rights issue. I looked through my emails, but I can’t see any options to take IAG up on their rights issue offer (I presume this would come from Trading212?

Should I have received an email? I’m new to trading so I’m learning the hard way, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Alex

Thank you

Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated!

I received the offer is it worth buying at a discount price? I would like to hear from other IAG investors?

I bought and sold couple of times and still hold 25 shares. I still believe in the company and their high standard of service - i just accepted the offer when i got the email.
I will hold the position until i see a direction of the situation and market.
There is still too much Hypocrisy in the politics which is super damaging for the Travel and Hospitality industries.
Hope this helps :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello, I believe this went ex-rights and has been adjusted today. Can you give any information for how CFD holders will be affected please. Thanks

We’ve just made a cash transaction to all of the affected clients. Furthermore, a platform message is about to be sent out.

Can confirm that I have just received it. Thanks for your response martin :+1:

Hi Martin.

Are you referring to cash transaction only for CFD users? I believe if you hold shares in ISA or INVEST account then you guys are about to send communication on exercising additional rights issued by IAG? will you please confirm.
thanks in advance!

All of the ISA/Invest shareholders will receive an email with further information by the end of the day!

Thanks, Martin. Appreciate your quick response.

Hi @Martin…

Can we buy IAG right issue from other members not exercising their right?

I’ll appreciate a quick and friendly response.

Hello @Cai-X,

Unfortunately, that would not be possible. Only qualified for the issue holders will have the option to exercise them through our platform.
