In-specie transfer šŸ‘Øā€šŸ”¬

Is T212 included in that list? In other words, does IBRK allow for transfers from/to T212 even if T212 doesnā€™t offer transfers to other brokers?

No i havenā€™t seen them on the list

They are on the list for transfers but it is cash only - no in-specie option at present. See my earlier messages.

All isa providers have to offer cash transfer i think its the law, thats why you can transfer money fom your cash isa in a bank to a broker. I have never seen one that doesnā€™t allow cash transfers its easy, the problem is with shares

Youā€™ve nailed it, so we need regulation in-specie transferā€¦once in place, it will happen for ALL brokers

Anymore progress? :hourglass:

I think it would be good to be honest with your clients about the situation.

There are difficulties putting the featureā€™s release on hold for now. But the commitment is clear and in specie transfers remain in our short-term plans.

Weā€™ll keep you posted.

Are you expecting it to be available this year or not?

Thereā€™s no way to foresee how long itā€™ll take to resolve the current hurdles along the way. So we canā€™t commit to an exact ETA at this time.

I take that as a no then lol. Pathetic.

Whatā€™s truly pathetic is all this child-like whining.

Itā€™ll happen when it happens.

Throwing your toys out of the pram wonā€™t speed it up.

Seems like winning strategy you got there.

Bumping this as I believe it to be THE most important feature that T212 should add. You are listed as a broker to transfer shares to and from on IBKR, yet you cannot offer this feature? You use IBKR as an intermediary who holds your clients shares, yet you canā€™t transfer with them? Can we have an update on this? I have shares with IBKR that I need moved to my T212 account.

Unfortunately, there arenā€™t any updates to share right now. We know thatā€™s one of the most eagerly awaited features, and we appreciate everyoneā€™s patience. As soon as thereā€™s any progress, weā€™ll update the thread.

@Jeffrey_C as there have been no updates Id assume there is nothing to update.

Can you please speak about the nature of the difficulties that are keeping this feature implementation on hold indefinitely? Please note that I am not asking for an update on implementation progress or an update on future timelines. All Iā€™m saying is that if 1.5 years later this feature is still on hold until further notice, I think your customers deserve to know - in the name of transparency - with some level of detail what exactly is the ultimate reason for the indefinite ā€œon holdā€ status. I do not see any legal reason not to explain to customers the nature of what is preventing you from working on this feature. Is it a lack of developer resources? Is it a reprioritisation in the list of features? Is it a legal matter? Is it the fear that you will have a significant net outflow of positions?

While I do not wish to doing ungrateful, as 212 on the whole do offer a great platform

The constant state of ā€˜coming soonā€™ when it comes to transfers is not great.

If you canā€™t do it for xyz reason, it would land better of the team said.

We are unable to do this now for xyz reason but we are working to get this resolved in order to enable this functionality.

We will get back to you in 6 months (or other timeline) with an update.

This would land better with most people
