Understandable, but that makes a clunky user experience and an administrative nightmare for Trading212 back office team.
I have to send you my portfolio. You have to cross ref it. You have to tell me to sell XYZ stock to cash. I have to instruct my broker. I have to wait for that to settle. You have to wait for it to settle. Other stocks can go in the meantime but the whole portfolio can not be finished until the cash is also moved.
i’m thinking of putting down a few limit orders at set prices before they get suspended again. Ive noticed if you have limit orders on uk micro caps and then they get become non tradable if they reach the price you set it will still buy
For those interested the chatbot answers with the following:
“We are gradually rolling out the portfolio transfer feature from 15.02 to an increasing number of users and brokers. The expected time of arrival for all users is mid-March. Currently, less than 1% of all users have the feature available. Once the feature is available to you, you will be able to find it within your Trading 212 account. Please note that until 15.02.2024, we are offering ISA cash transfers only.”
As this feature is slowly being released. Is there a way to request access to this feature by being included in the next round of accounts being updated?
I ask this as 2 weeks ago there was a comment requesting that people DM one of the engineers to get access.

Well the bot has now decided it’s the end of March instead of Mid March:
The in-specie transfer option is not currently available on Trading 212. However, we are gradually rolling out portfolio transfers to an increasing number of users and brokers. The expected time of arrival for all users is 31 March 2024. Currently, less than 1% of all users have the feature available. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please let me know.
