ISA for UK resident (non citizen)

Hi, I have been a resident of the UK for nearly 4 years now, working, paying taxes etc. I have leave to remain and but have not reached the minimum time to be able to apply for citizenship. Would anyone know if being a permanent resident makes me eligible for the benefits of an ISA for investing in shares?

Pretty sure it’s a yes you can. But I don’t know the full details of your situation. If you are paying UK taxes and are not living somewhere abroad partially, then you should be eligible.

Who can open an ISA

You must be:

  • 18 or over for a stocks and shares or innovative finance ISA
  • resident in the UK

As long as you have a UK bank account, address, NINo and you declare tax here, yes you can
