Limit buy price to expire on certain date ?

Is it possible to set limit buy or sell price to expire on a certain date in the future ?

Reason:-
I would like to set limit buy price that will expire at the end of a stocks ex- dividend date if my buy price has not been reached.

Hope this makes sense.

Setting a specific date is not yet an option. I’ll pass this on for consideration, though. Currently, when setting a pending order (Stop, Limit or Stop-Limit) on the Invest or Stocks ISA, you have two options for setting an expiration:

  • End of day - the order will be cancelled if not executed by the end of the day on which you placed it.
  • Never - the order will remain pending unless it is filled or cancelled by yourself.
