OTC vs. Nasdaq, Panasonic vs. Tesla

Who can explain what difference it makes if a stock is traded on

OTC Markets (Panasonic)

or lets say

NASDAQ (Tesla)?

I checked out Panasonics chart on the trading 212 app and its traded OTC. Panasonic has a large market cap, I always thought small cap companies and penny stocks are usually traded over the counter with little liqudity and less regulation. But again I doubt that can be the case with Panasonic.
What am I missing??

Thanks!

Panasonic is traded on the Japan market

I know, but what is this then, and how exactly does it differ? I am noob, sorry in case its obvious ^^

This one is in US$, possibly it is not traded in an exchange. Maybe T212 don’t have access to the Japan exchange for the Invest platform.

Thanks @phildawson, it is starting to make more sense now! I own some shares of this stock below, how can I know what type of ADR it is?

Are you asking if its sponsored or unsponsored ?

SPONSORED ADR EACH REPRESENTING 1 ORD SHARE

You can see the represents one share if you convert the original.
