Over-the-counter (OTC) stocks - basic questions

Hello!

I’m new to investing and have a couple of questions regarding OTC:

  1. Can OTC stocks in a pie be bought as fractional shares, or only whole shares?
  2. Any concerns when creating a pie with 20-30 OTC stocks?
  3. Are dividends in foreign currencies like Danish Krone or Japanese Yen, for example, automatically converted to GBP (or EUR for European users)?

Any tips, experiences, or suggestions are welcome! I hope the answers will also help other Trading 212 users.

Cheers!

Answering my own questions based on my experience so far:

  1. Yes, OTC stocks can be bought in a pie as fractional shares. No problem so far.

I think the answer to all your questions is “yes”.

Why anyone would want to hold 20-30 OTC stocks is another matter mind you!

Hey, @TiagoVPUK

Apologies for missing your post back in December.

Yes, this is possible, but if you stumble on an instrument that isn’t fractional yet, you can send us a message, and we’ll check if that can be changed.

I’m in no position to give a definitive answer to this one. However, we recommend you always do your own due diligence and research carefully before making any investing or trading decision.

Yes, dividends are received in the instrument’s currency and will be converted and paid to you in your account’s primary currency. This process is not subject to an FX fee.
