Pie question. Individual companies or all together in one pie?

Hi all
I am curious as to what you all do with your pies. I have a pie for each individual company as I am a dividend investor for the long term, I feel I can see what is happening individually. I have heard that it is better to have certain companies together in a pie so collectively you build the pie over time. Just curious as to what you all think.

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Personally I have a couple of single-stock pie for DRIP-style (but small % of my portfolio), a couple of thematic ones, and one main one focused on income generation.

I only use the pies to check allocation weights. I export everything I buy into them and export out when I sell.

Thats a good way to check the weight. Ill bear that in mind.

I own about 45 stocks, I tend to buy about 20 at a time based on current prices and my forecasts. I use the pie to dollar average into those 20 or so.

I update it roughly every month
