I have seen recent media comments regarding CFD choices being incorporated on the S&S ISA view and I agree this is not a good idea, especially for those who want a simple interface without the risk of getting into CFD trading before they are ready.
I understand your point. However, the view-only feature cannot be disabled. It is intended to provide access to charts and price alerts for all instruments on the platform, regardless of which account you are currently viewing.
While we recognise that some users would prefer to see only instruments that can be traded within their selected account, this feature allows users to research and monitor instruments across different account types from a single interface.
I think the view only for CFDs and Crypto is a great feature. Best example is Bitcoin, l have added it to my watchlist in my S&S ISA where I track shares linked to crypto. And it helps to see the crypto on the same page.
