That’s true, there are many of these stories, for example on these two threads:

While many people say their transfer has failed, some have also succeeded on it by mentioning or contacting BaFin (although they don’t take stands on individual cases), after which transfer has finally succeeded (mostly to IBKR). I wouldn’t consider it yet impossible to get securities transferred to T212 either, although it seems to require contacting BaFin and/or financial ombudsman. But we’ll see.
As of the latest transfer request of mine, I got message from both TR and T212, saying transfer has been cancelled due to lack of response from the other party. As per Reddit threads, this is typical outcome for transfers from TR. Someone in Reddit mentioned also they have caught TR customer support lying about them contacting IBKR after asking some evidence of it:
Have a pending transfer for over 4 months, have caught TR support people openly lying (saying they contacted IBKR and later taking it back when asked for evidence that they contacted IBKR).
Yes, it seems they have required this since March 17th 2025.
