Putting CFD profits into ISA

Im sorry if this has been asked before, i have had a look using the search feature (as well as general googling) but cant find an answer easily as the keywords bring up too many unrelated questions.

Say i make 20k profit from a 10k deposit from my CFD account (fingers crossed, right?) Could i then switch that over to my ISA account and not have to pay capital gains tax for that tax year? Or is that only tax free if you make the profit WITHIN the ISA account?

You’d have to pay tax on your profit.

You don’t pay CGT only AFTER you have deposited in an ISA. So the profit is BEFORE depositing, hence you have to pay tax.
