Question regarding deposit and withdrawal with Revolut

Did anybody used Revolut to add USD to their trading212 acount?
Also did anybody withdrew usd to they revolut account? Can u do that or they do a automatic conversion in National curency.

I am asking because I am from.Romania. and my national currency is RON. And I use Usd on trading212, but I am afraid I will lose twice…when I cange to deposit and when I change back to ron

It’s not possible to use Revolut (due to their policies).
A workaround: convert in Revolut -> transfer or deposit to TransferWise -> deposit (debit card) to T212

Which policies does not allow to use Revolut?

There are some merchants that are not supported with your Revolut card. At the moment, this includes:

  • Financial securities brokers and dealers

It is possible, just not by using Card.

You use Bank wire.

I am from Croatia, my t212 is in USD, I have deposited USD via Revolut Bank wire.

I have not tested withdrawal, as this is long term investing account 15+years so I don’t plan to touch money for some time…

For Revolut converting, I doubt , they use same IBAN for each currency so they accept USD or any currency.

Does the wire transfer cost? What is the minimum?

No cost, 1$ as far as I know.

Yes, you can change in Revolut and then make a transfer in USD to your T212 account. Also you can use your card to make deposits.

NOT card. Bank wire.
It works.

I was replying to poser above you, as visible by reply sign. I already stated bank wire is fine…

@StefanStandUp I’m also from Romania and i belive it’s better to have the account in RON and fund your account trough top-up, it’s instant, just like Revolut top-up. Whitdrawal takes 2-3 days. I’m using ING and this is working great so far for me.

Hello!
How did you set up the T212 account for bank transfer in Revolut USD or GBP ? When setting it to USD i noticed that i cannot enter anymore the account number and the sort code, and i’m thinking that without this info money may get stuck along the way.
How did you get past this ?

You choose country UK, currency USD/GBP, then IBAN and BIC. Just add extra info such as the reference code (which you can see in T212 in deposit - bank wire). And maybe same e-mail which you have T212 account (you can add email info in Revolut). I guess that should work, no?

As @victor wrote just IBAN and BIC is needed. I send USD. Only thing else , in revolut when transferring, add reference I use reference code from t212 account.
