Really? That could be possible. I remember not knowing how to switch from cash to margin account when I first began testing with TOS, and I was under the impression that the same applied to the cash account, but I could absolutely be wrong about that yes, please check with them.

Yeah it’s good to try multiple things and then know what works best for you. That and you may have good suggestions for T212 according to how other brokers do things.
