Set stop loss as a % of sale order amount

Hi there,

I’d like to add a stop loss of c. 3% to my sell order on the CFD account. Currently, T212 doesn’t allow you to do so working with %s. As I’m not very familiar with CFDs, would someone be able to suggest how to best do it? Presumably, I’d need to find out what 3% means in share price terms. FYI - shorting the NASDAQ 100 as a strategic hedge.

You can either:

  • Set stop loss at current share/index price + 3% OR
  • Set stop loss amount at 3% of your payment, e.g. you pay $1000, stop loss at -$30
