Sound energy plc SOU (LON)

please can you add sound energy plc to the platform or SOU (LON) for short, i want to buy some shares in this company.

Please Add Sound Energy Plc, I would like to buy a discrete amount of shares.

@Momchil.G @Bogi.H - any idea why Sound Energy is restricted at the moment?

I cannot find any news about this. The London Stock Exchange website doesn’t suggest any problems.
SOUND ENERGY PLC SOU Trade recap - Stock | London Stock Exchange

Trading with the instrument is currently restricted by our intermediary. If anything changes, we’ll reflect it accordingly.

Thanks Bogi. Sorry to follow up on this, but do you believe this is just a temporary issue? Is the expectation that your intermediary will restore trading for Sound Energy?

BTW I think Trading212 should have sent out comms about this. A shareholder shouldn’t only find out about this accidentally.

Buy orders with Sound Energy PLC (SOU) are currently unavailable and we’re working on this. As soon as there’s an update, we’ll remove the trading notice.

As for the message from the screenshot, that’s not a matter of the stock’s eligibility. If viewed from an Invest account, the same message will appear with just a different account type - ‘SOU is no longer tradable in your Invest account’. In other words, this is just the text that appears when the shares are in a Pie and the instrument’s in close-only.

If the stock no longer satisfies the HMRC ISA eligibility criteria, then all clients will receive an in-app notification about it.

Thanks Veselin. This makes sense, although I still think some sort of notification should have been sent as soon as the trading status changed.

Looks like SOU’s trading status is fine now.

I’m so sorry for missing your previous message. We only send in-app notifications if the stock you invested in gets acquired, delisted, etc.

When there’s a restriction on the Buy or Sell orders of a specific instrument, in-app notifications aren’t sent. Instead, there’s a trading notice placed on the instrument itself. Still, that sounds like a great idea and I’ll forward it to the team
