Support for Slovenian INR (Individual Investment Account) 🇸🇮

Slovenia has introduced a new tax-advantaged Individual Investment Account (INR).

Key points:

  • Available to Slovenian tax residents

  • No tax while funds remain in the account

  • 0% tax if the withdrawal is after 15 years

  • Otherwise 15% tax on net gains at withdrawal

Supporting INR would make Trading 212 very attractive for long-term investors in Slovenia. Any chance this can be supported?

Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve forwarded it to the team and will let you know if it’s something we can support.

Hi, @Veselin.V.

Any news regarding the INR? Thanks!

Unfortunately, there’s no update to share at the moment, but I’ll keep you posted if there’s any news.

Hey, this would be great I agree. Many Slovenians would use T212 alternative as it would surely be cheaper than traditional Slovenian banks.

Hope you can make it work!

Thanks for your great work

Supporting this. If Trading212 gest quickly on board many users from slovenia would transfer here. Similar for other platforms as slovenians (including myself) will transfer all investments to the fist provider who enables this and is not a traditional slovenian bank..

Would be great to have this option and I would also begin to invest more heavily. Besides current providers in Slovenia don’t offer trading with fractional shares and fees are not so low as they could be - so Trading 212 could gain at least 60-70 % of investors in Slovenia with some basic marketing.

There’s also a danger that you lose current customers if you don’t offer INR accounts for Slovenians, as many people are waiting on your official reply - if you take too long many might open INR accounts with local providers and you will lose customers.
