The Great Depression. Since "tarifs" are back on populist agenda again

This is a long and dry lecture like video (well Boyle is an economics professor anyway…) But I thought, being a bit more informed about the great depression might help draw parallels to near future outlook. And navigate potentials pitfalls easier. (possibly in the very near future)

I highly recommend watching it, at least the first 30 minutes

edit: solely posting this to provide a “summary” for the biggest economic downturn the world has experienced during peace time. This is educational and not a political video, if you feel the need to comment please keep it non-political.

Any headlines you’d call out, before we commit to 30 mins?

I’m going to guess given the title that to summarise the stock market falls, continue to DCA and keep buying, so you can enjoy the profit when the depression ends.

After seeing your comment I tried creating “chapters” for the video, I wrote 7-8 of them and realised, I was writing a “chapter” for every 1-2 minutes of the video

Believe it or not this 53 minute video is a grossly simplified “summary” so every 3-4 sentence jumps from subject to subject.
