Whatā€™s the thoughts on using the leveraged stocks to replace the standard stock long term?

#sadpanda

I think, I will really need to pull a fake @Joey_Fantana IPO post to get, Naspers Limited, Prosus NV and nxp semiconductors nv added :stuck_out_tongue:

The dizzying speed penny stocks get added and the reluctance on big ones is puzzling. (Naspers ā‚¬80 Billion, Prosus ā‚¬170 Billion)

Personal opinion, I donā€™t think it is a great idea. even the dude from the company issuing these admits the recommended holding period is 1 day.

But then again, if you think apple will do another 50% run in next month, yes itā€™ll be great, but flat or small increase/decrease periods will not be very profitable.

Thanks thatā€™s really useful!

Iā€™ll just wait for Tencent and the LIT etf

These products are designed with the short term in mind, not long; DYOR starting at the source of FAQs here:

You say this as if you exposed something. The company website behind these products never even suggested otherwise, so no admission was produced. Their website is already clear on how these products should be used in the short term:

Yay Broadridge Financial Solutions Inc. Thanks.

When you can, please convert ENG.MC and VNDA to fractional and add AGNCN, NGL. Thank you in advance !

+1 for NXPI fractional, could also do with ICE, MTLS and TREE.

Agree that Prosus seems an odd omission, think I read it was added to the Stoxx 50 tā€™other day.

Any additions this week?

+1 for prosus (like the millionth time now haha)

Whatā€™s with all these leverage shares each week?
I thought this was an ā€˜investingā€™ platform?

Start adding actual shares and investment trusts we can actually invest in, instead of products not designed for investors.

They forced you to sell it so your ISA complied with HMRC regulations and anyway you can just buy it back at the same price in the Invest account.
Also why would they refund you if you bought shares and they lost value, how is that anything to do with trading212 - it is just a poor return on your own investment.

Btw, seen your post like 20x now and your usage of ā€œlooseā€ instead of ā€œloseā€ is really annoying, if you are planning on posting again please change thanks.

Although I canā€™t really single out Matt for this; I see it all over the place and bite my tongue. You never know when itā€™s conditional and when it was because they fucked about in school.

@Matt.12, the reason you have lost money is because you invested in these stocks and they went down in value; not because 212 force sold your holding.

If you had purchased the same shares in the Invest account the value would still have depreciated, so when folk tell you to simply take up the same position in the Invest account, it is with this rationale.

And 212 havenā€™t broken the law, theyā€™ve breached regulation. And in force selling holdings they have corrected this breach. They didnā€™t act without warning. Everyone was given ample time to take out or move their money.

Sorry but while you say you have a life, perhaps you need to dedicate more of that to tracking your finances. If youā€™re serious about your money you should really know what itā€™s doing at all times. Friendly advice.

OOft. Gone.

Well that was a waste of keyboard action.

Why hasnā€™t there been any new fractional shares in the past few weeks?
