SPXL’s the only fund I have now.

I used to hold JAM, and other trusts, but I got out before the managers left a year or two ago.

It did exceptionally well for me but I didn’t have tonnes of confidence it would continue to outperform the S&P in the long term.

Gearing will amplify losses but I’m surprised JAM’s not held up better against the index lately:

FWRG is my core fund.

I also own JEGP as an experiment, a candidate income player for the future. Not sure I should own this fund at all before retirement, but it turned out that it works well as defensive short term position in times of uncertainty (capped gain/loss). And this is the only reason I haven’t flushed it away with other random stocks I owned before the tariff dips.

@Topher Yeh - i’ve been thinking about cutting my losses with JAM.

Where is your chart from? is that on T212?

Google Finance.

You never know: JAM may come good. S&P 500 is a hard index to beat though.

I agree, most of my money is S&P 500 - I thought id diversify slightly - but for me, even now with Trump; it’s still the long term best option

Oh thanks! I’ve been using VUAG before now - I see SPXL has a lower TER (0.07% vs 0.03% respectively.)

My experience is SPDRs and iShares often are good value versus the much more ‘visible’ Vanguards. It’s worth doing research. I’ve found ChatGPT / CoPilot can help if you ask it questions in a well worded way (always do your research afterwards though, dont take AIs word for it!). Here’s an example:
