HI,
New to investing and just getting a feel for it with some small investments but have a question:
I’ve seen several companies listed on both the DEUTSCHE BÖRSE XETRA (in Euros) and NYSE (in US Dollars) stock exchanges. Just wondering if in general, as a UK resident / tax payer, there was any benefit to trading on one exchange over the other?
Thanks.
One thing to consider is the bid-ask spread and how liquid the ETF or stock is, as sometimes different stock or ETF listings may be more or less liquid. The closer the bid-ask spread the less money you are likely to lose every time you buy or sell the ETF/Stock.
Not sure on the tax differences.
Edit: Does someone know if there might the widtholding tax differences?
Also, some countries have a transaction tax (stamp duty in the UK).
