UK stamp duty in a 212 Pie

Hi,

Does anyone know who UK stamp duty works within a 212 pie?

For instance, if you make a buy order for only £1, do you end up paying 1p of stamp duty on it, therefore effectively a 1% tax/charge?

That sounds to me like it might be something to avoid.

Interested to hear everyone’s views on the forum.

Thanks

This experiment shows that stamp duty is deducted. The stamp duty cost is figured into the number of shares purchased. It is a deduction of 0.5% as it should be.
