UK Stamp Duty (SDRT) on ETFs

Hi,

I have seen that when we buy UK shares we pay 0.5% stamp duty (SDRT) as outlined in the UK governments´ website:
Tax when you buy shares
I understand that this is taken automatically when we buy UK shares on T212.

My question is the following:
Do we pay stamp duty (SDRT) when buying ETFs?
I did a trial, cancelling at the “Review Order” prior to execution, just to see and it seems like we do not. Can anyone confirm?

If it is not paid, is this because investing in ETFs through T212 counts as buying “from the Fund Manager”?

Thanks.

No stamp duty on ETFs.
