Can anyone let me know why the Vanguard s&p 500 etf (vusd) shows significantly better performance over the past year than the Sterling based vusa fund both traded on ftse?
I’m a bit unclear as to whether one is better than the other or if I should just be investing in the vusd given the better returns ?

The returns are identical. The USD version shows a larger return in USD terms, but the value of the USD has declined against GBP. If you measure the gain in VUSD in terms of GBP you will see it is the same as the gain in VUSA.
